3 casual dating trends to be aware in 2019

1- Sexting the waters

It is pretty obvious from where this expression comes from… and we’re sure you can think of a lot of instances in which you’ve tested the waters.

In this case, sexting the waters refers to when a person is trying to sect you but they don’t want to be too direct or too abrupt, so they engage in a never-ending circle around the subject…which let’s be honest, it can get pretty boring!

An example could be the eternal open questions of “what are you up to” (when they know you’re probably in bed as it is late…) or “send me a picture of what you’re doing now” (again getting ready to go to sleep)… you get the tone don’t you?

2- Lining

A modern way to ask if someone after a date if they want to come home. We’re not sure if it’s a genius way of a naughty proposal or just the awkwardest one…

It all started with a very popular app for taxis called Lyft which gives you the option to specify if it’s just you in the taxi or if you’re bringing a friend.

so what’s the catch you might say?

The idea is to let your date decide if she/he wants to be dropped home, or carry the journey to your home.

Sneaky and fun and at the same time!

3-FreeClimbing

This last one is probably the most common one…it refers to when you’ve been matched with someone and prior to the date, you start to do a thorough research on Google and all social media. You get so much into the research and back into time, that you have to perfect to the millimeter your scrolling down not to like by mistake any post and not to leave your digital print as seen (as it may happen with Linkedin).

A modern tale of voyeurism with no doubt!
